Jasmine (green) teas are produced in many Chinese provinces and are particularly popular, especially in the northern regions. The tea leaves can either be dried together with jasmine flowers, absorbing their fragrance, or have fresh jasmine blossoms added directly. This gives the tea a distinct jasmine aroma while still preserving its original flavor.
